Who wore it best?

For this weeks edition of Who wore it Best? we'll see how the pups chose to style a new classic in eyewear, the Preston by Warby Parker in Whisky Tortoise. The brand's website describes the Preston as "blending style cues from traditional square and circular eyeframes...offering unmatched versatility for medium sized faces."

Who wore it best?

In an attempt to get some more consistency going on at this blogpsot, I'm introducing a new series, which I will attempt to post every Thursday, called "Who wore it best?" It will feature my two favorite subjects, Pugsley and Reggie, modeling various fashions, and then, you all will vote Who wore it best. Groundbreaking, I know...

I was inspired by some recent stories, brought to my attention by lovely friends. Stories of pugs in the limelight. One friend shared this video of several pugs performing Bone-Thugz-N-Harmony's "1st of tha Month", another shared a gallery of the 25 Coolest Pugs at Puglandia. Who knew? Pugs blowing it up.

So, without further ado, I present the first ever

A Garden Party

...for your feet!

Anthropologie is featuring a line of "greenhouse chic" shoes
from Miss Albright, and I can't get enough of them. There are various patterns of silk florals and styles including wedges, Mary Jane's and flats.

Check them all out here!

I find the great thing in this world is not so much where we stand, as in what direction we are moving.
To reach the port of heaven, we must sail sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it -
but we must sail, and not drift, nor lie at anchor.

Landlubbers

Well, not exactly "landlubbers", but loving living on land again. Pistachio is still at sea, though no longer as a residence. This past December, faced with the prospect of another winter floating in the Marina, Westbrook and I decided to give up our seafaring ways, and move back onto shore. It was the right decision for us, and now we are enjoying the boat more than ever!

With that said, this blog will still be a place for me to share our nautical adventures, but I will also occasionally expand to include posts concerning my other passion - Design. Pistachio at Home, if you will.

I am on the hunt right now for a fabric to recover the interior boat cushions. They had a rough go of it with the Pups and Humans living full time  on them. Here are some of the options I'm considering. Thoughts??

Mmm mmm tomato pie

Here is a delicious and super duper simple recipe I like to make in the summertime, when ripe heirloom tomatoes are plentiful. I like it so much I made two last weekend.
